The Making of Mindfulness through Art
Dear Creative Colleagues and Friends:
Ohio's Buckeye Art Therapy Association (BATA) is pleased to announce its 29th Annual Symposium to be held September 24-25th, 2010 in Columbus,
This year's theme, The Making of Mindfulness through Art features keynote Michael Franklin, MA, ATR-BC who is a full professor and core faculty for Naropa University's Transpersonal Counseling Psychology Department and Director of Naropa's Graduate Art Therapy Program in Boulder, CO. In
addition to our keynote, we will also be offering many other quality CEU sponsored sessions and workshops throughout the two days.
BATA invites program proposals for this year's Symposium and will be accepting submissions in January. Proposals that highlight the use of art therapy, its theories, and techniques related to art and creativity in the practice of mindfulness, meditation, and DBT are especially welcome.
If you have any questions, please contact Symposium Program Chair Robert Tavani, ATR at info@batasymposium.org.
Looking forward to seeing you in September!
Gretchen Miller, MA, ATR-BC
